I'm an enamelist, and Plique à Jour simply delights me. The challenge of getting a vibrant color to fill a previously empty space, to make a small, small pane of glass (literally!), and not have cracks or holes - it's a very addicting form of art.

When painting more traditionally, I often watercolor. The jump from large format watercolor paintings to small, small enamel paintings done like it was a watercolor was surprisingly natural to me.
